Learning operation of controls (clutch, brakes, throttle) Basic understanding of body position and balance e.g. standing on the foot pegs instead of being seated. Confident operation of controls (clutch, brakes, throttle) Regular application of proper body position and balance. Adept operation of controls – advanced use of control to overcome obstacles such as logs (<18"), water crossings, narrow bridges and sustained steep hill climbs and descents. Expert operation of controls – expert use of controls to deliver or reduce power effectively to overcome significant obstacles such as large log overs (>18″), and to perform expert maneuvers (wheelies and stoppies on trail)
